Take us together with you

Be it an extravagant gala dinner with a thousand guests or an intimate reception for your nearest and dearest, all of these events and celebrations deserve our full attention.

Weiwei Tan

Director | Wedding Planner

Even before Weiwei graduated from the National University of Singapore, she already had Chere registered as a business. That was in 2009 and since then she has planned more than a hundred weddings big and small. Serving as the Director of Chere, Weiwei also teaches at the Institute of Certified Wedding Planners, where she trains and guides the hopeful planners looking to enter the wedding industry.

If you ever wonder how Weiwei survives the bridezillas, groomzillas and even random aunties in the extended families who wanted to know about the wedding details, here is the answer: she does so with a cup of "Teh Bing" everyday. According to her, a "Teh Bing" a day keeps the stress at bay. You can try that if you're stressed about your wedding or you could simply just send us an email. We'll be happy to help!

Sophia Lim

Wedding Planner | Operations Executive

With an educational background in Events Management, it is not a surprise that Sophia is here at Chere doing exactly what she was trained for. Full of energy and creative ideas, any weddings or events that come under Sophia's hands will be executed in the most efficient and novel manner.

We would have given Sophia "Discipline Mistress" as a title if not for the concern that it may sound too intimidating. Apart from planning weddings and events, Sophia is also the one ensuring everyone at Chere stays on course (definitely what you need to plan an event), including keeping to office rules and maintenance. As strict as she may seem, Sophia is so full of bubbliness, you hardly know the word "sad" whenever she is around. (Just in case you are wondering, we found a better title for her - "Operations Executive".)

Herlina Makmur

Wedding Planner | Marketing Executive

Herlina graduated from Nanyang Technological University, with a degree in Marketing. Besides planning weddings, she also does the marketing stuff at Chere including writing this bio for everyone. (If you have ever done something like this, you probably will understand the challenge in writing something for yourself by yourself.) But simply put, Herlina is a paradox. She is obsessed with details yet she loves the big picture. She likes to let her imagination run wild but also makes it a point to remain logical. This isn't exactly a bad thing for a planner because they often have to balance two sides of a pole.

Herlina doesn't speak much but that is probably because too much fireworks are going off in her head. Also, see those thick volumous hair on her head? That's probably where she hides all her ideas!
